Though landscapes and landmarks can be beautiful subjects to photograph, it is likely that they have already been captured a million different times and there is not much that you can add to the image to improve it. When you are working with human clients, it is far more exciting. The human body is really interesting and incredibly beautiful. Humans are incredibly diverse too, which means that every new person that you photograph can offer brand new inspiration and a brand new insight into how the human body looks. If you are someone that likes taking pictures of people, then it is likely that you have already photographed your friend's hundreds of times and you are looking for someone new to inspire you. It is not uncommon for photographers to take on clients, especially if they need to make a bit of money on the side. Though photographing people is a great way to make some extra cash, there is absolutely no denying that it can be awkward sometimes. Taking pictures can be a very intimate affair and if you don’t really know someone, then it can be quite uncomfortable. When people are uncomfortable, it can be very noticeable in your pictures. When you are trying to photograph someone, you want them to feel comfortable, but if you feel awkward yourself this may be hard to achieve. Here are some tips for making a photography client feel more relaxed. Let them bring a friend When you are doing a one on one session with someone that you do not know, it can be very easy for you both to feel incredibly awkward. Instead of letting this get in the way, I would suggest that you let them bring a friend that can watch on the sidelines. There are a lot of advantages to allowing friends in the photography studio. First of all, it would make your client feel a lot safer as they will not be going to the house of an unknown person without support from somebody that they know. If they have a friend there, then they will feel a lot calmer and a lot more open to the pictures. It is only natural for friends to crack jokes with each other and so there will likely be a lot of laughter between the two people. If you encourage them to chat when you are taking the pictures, you may be able to capture a lot of candid scenes that could result in some pretty cool pictures. Their friend may also have some suggestions for changes that you can make and you could ask for their opinions on the set etc. Make Them Laugh A great way to make anyone feel much more comfortable is by making them laugh. We can all feel a bit uneasy when we are meeting new people but that does not mean that we have to… Continue Reading
04/06/2024 Charles Post in Entrepreneurship Leave a Comment on Why One Research Firm is Predicting Cars will be Obsolete Soon Why One Research Firm is Predicting Cars will be Obsolete Soon Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few years, you will be more than aware of the strain that our planet is under due to global warming. For years now there have been warnings about how we are destroying the planet, but until recently all of the warnings have pretty much been ignored. Now we can physically see the way in which global warming is affecting the world, with longer summers and melting of the icebergs, it is hard to deny that we don’t have to make changes now. We have all started to do our bit, but the odd house in a random country remembering to turn off their lights before they go to bed isn’t going to cut it. Something that is an absolute fact is that one of the biggest detriments to the Earth is the use of cars, however many people think that driving is a necessary evil in order to make sure that our world is operating in the best way possible. However, a research firm now has reason to believe that this is not the case and cars will in fact become obsolete soon, but why do they think this? Health One of the main reasons that this firm believes that people will no longer be using cars is due to the fact that the world, in general, has become much more health-conscious. We realized that as a community we spend a lot of time sitting at desks all day, followed by a lot of time sitting in our cars and driving home. Because of this, many people are choosing to pick alternative travel methods. It’s not like people can choose to just not work at a desk anymore, so it means that the cars have to go. People are choosing to walk, bike, or bus instead of driving. The amount of people doing this is only increasing every day and this firm predicts that in the next 50 years, we will all be doing it. Costs and Complications If you are someone that owns a car, you will be more than aware of just how annoying owning a car can be. You have a long list of costs, that vary from your insurance to just general fuel costs. On top of this, you need to sort out your MOT and do a car history check. Cars are also just extremely unreliable and can break down easily and with very little notice. Because of these reasons, many people believe that they are simply not worth keeping and are choosing to use public transport instead, which works out to be a fraction of the cost and is often much more reliable than your standard car. Other travel solutions Every year, a brand new travel solution hits the market that is more efficient and much cheaper than your standard car. The world is turning electric, which means there has been an increase in smaller electric vehicles being released into the market. Right now there… Continue Reading

If you are someone that owns a small business, then you will know just how hard it can be to cover all of your general costs while also trying to run a successful business. Though you may not want your business to be all about money, it is hard to deny that money isn’t an important factor when it comes to running a business. As a business, you depend on your financial income and you have to make sure that your incoming and outgoing costs are balanced, which can be difficult to do. Saving money should be the priority of every small business and here are 5 methods that you can use to save your small business money. Don’t hire too many staff A very common mistake that brand new businesses often make is hiring too many staff. Staff is a key part of ensuring that your business operates smoothly, but when you are a small business you don’t really need that many staff. If you have staff, then they will expect to work at least sixteen hours a week and if you have a lot of staff, the wage cost will be quite expensive. Our recommendation is to start off with minimal staff and if you believe you need more help, then hire someone else. This means that you can manage your money better and pay your current staff a reasonable wage. Hunt for deals Many people think that business owners have to stick by wholesale prices, but this really isn’t the case. If you can get your products for a very cheap price, then you can sell them for a little more and turn a very good profit. There are many ways that you can save money on your products. For example, if you buy a bulk order of a product then you can get it much cheaper. Also be sure to look out for any coupons that you can use, be sure to check out top1 coupons and deals to see if there is anything that may benefit your business. Go online If you are a small business and you are struggling with the costs of operating a store, we recommend that you move your business online. Moving online cuts out a lot of the costs that come with owning a business. Rent and utility costs can take a large chunk of your profits, which means that you may not start to see any returns for quite a while because of this. A lot of people prefer online shopping these days, so you may even notice an increase in sales if you do decide to move online. Do your own advertising Another big cost that comes with owning a small business is advertising. A great way to cut these costs is by working on your own advertising. A great way to advertise your business is actually with the bags that you give to your customers. If you… Continue Reading
02/20/2021 Charles Post in Entrepreneurship Leave a Comment on Why do a lot of Business People play Golf? Why do a lot of Business People play Golf? Whilst isn’t exclusively business people who enjoy a leisurely game of golf, a lot of businesspeople visit the golf course much more often than the average person. Every time you visit the course you’ll always see groups of suited-up business people in the middle of a game, it also is commonly featured in films because it does happen so often. So if you’ve ever wondered why so many business people play golf then keep reading because we’ve found all the reasons golfing is good for business people. Networking One of the main reasons that you’ll always see business people on a golf course is because it presents some fantastic networking opportunities. To be successful in business you need to forge as many relationships and friendships as possible as it’s a very interpersonal industry. Everyone has heard the saying ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’ and the golf course is a great place to expand your circles and meet people who may be able to help you. As golf is a long game it gives you several hours of quality time to impress whoever you’re playing golf with whether it’s an interviewer for a new job or if you’re delivering a pitch to a potential investor, it’s a great environment and has a relaxed atmosphere so it’s no surprise that so many business deals are completed on the golf course. It’s also a good way to get some extra time with people, first impressions are important when forging a relationship but you can’t establish a relationship with one meeting and they’ll be more likely to say yes to playing a game of golf than they will a meeting in a formal setting. Once you’ve secured a game of golf then remember that you’ll be with the other players for hours and you’re there to enjoy yourselves and have a fun game of golf as well as to discuss business so don’t jump right in with the business talk, you’ll know when the time is right to bring it up. If you’re playing a game of golf with people that you’re trying to impress then you’ll want to make sure you’ve got the basics of the game down even if you aren’t great, I used to struggle but I vastly improved at golf with an indoor home golf simulator which I can’t recommend enough if you don’t have time to get to the course to practice. Character Building Golf is one of the most challenging and frustrating sports to play, you can practice and practice and start to see some improvement but sometimes even though you don’t do anything differently you can have an awful day where everything goes wrong. As frustrating as this is at the time it builds character as you’ll be able to learn from the bad game and next time you perform poorly you’ll be in a better position to deal with it. This skill is transferrable to business as you’ll have a lot of unsuccessful… Continue Reading
